necessarily or by logical consequence.

Institutional influence does not logically entail falsehood.

For example:

A university funds research into capitalism.

That does not logically imply:

Every conclusion produced by that research is false.

A study might omit inequality because of its research question or theoretical framework. That omission could make the study incomplete for your particular question without making every finding in the study false.

You therefore need to examine:

what the study claims,

what evidence it uses,

what it excludes,

whether the exclusion affects its conclusion.
