"Influenced and correct" / "uninfluenced and incorrect"

Influenced and correct

Example:

A pharmaceutical company funds research on a drug.

The company clearly has an interest in positive results.

Yet the drug may genuinely work.

The existence of influence does not automatically make the conclusion false.

Uninfluenced and incorrect

Example:

An independent researcher with no financial interest conducts a study but makes methodological mistakes.

The conclusion may be wrong despite the absence of bias.

Truth and influence are related issues, but not identical issues.
