Logical coherence does not prove truth

Example:

Premise:

All birds can fly.

Premise:

Penguins are birds.

Conclusion:

Penguins can fly.

The reasoning is internally consistent.

But the first premise is false.

Therefore:

• logically coherent,
• factually wrong.

That is why coherence alone is insufficient.
