This is a stronger claim.

But historians would ask:

Is your interpretation neglected because of ideological bias?

or

Is it neglected because most scholars found the evidence insufficient?

Those are different explanations.

To establish the first explanation, you would need evidence about the operation of the scholarly community itself.

That becomes a sociology-of-knowledge argument rather than a historical argument.
