My criticism about Western scholarship

I am raising a sociology-of-knowledge argument.

The argument is:

Dominant institutions often shape which interpretations become mainstream.

That is a legitimate subject of scholarly debate.

However, the existence of dominant interpretations does not automatically make them false.

Likewise, the existence of neglected interpretations does not automatically make them true.

Each still requires evidence and argument.
