“I observe a difference” vs. “I demonstrated the cause”

Suppose you eat:

Desi chicken that tastes better.

You have established an experience/observation:

“I perceived a taste difference.”

But you have not yet established:

“Breed causes the taste difference.”

Why not?

Because other factors could explain it:

age,

diet,

cooking,

freshness,

exercise,

fat content.

To demonstrate causation, you would ideally control or account for these factors.

So:

Observation establishes that a difference appears to exist.

Causal demonstration establishes why the difference exists.
