“Analytical structure”

When I say:

“The same analytical structure can be applied to labor,”

I mean the same sequence of relationships:

formal freedom and unequal resources and unequal bargaining power and unequal practical capacity to exercise freedom

can be used to analyze a labor relationship.

It is called a structure because you are identifying the relationship among several variables, rather than merely comparing two historical events.
