"The USA has no responsibility to import people who hate us"

The word "import": This word treats human beings like factory goods or products shipped across borders, rather than people who move for work, safety, or family.
National security and vetting: Every country has a legal right to protect its borders. The U.S. government checks people for criminal history, disease, or terror links before letting them in. Stopping dangerous threats is a normal job for any government.
The problem with policing thoughts: "Hate" is an internal feeling. It is very hard to test, measure, or prove on a visa form.
The risk of a closed door: If a nation bans everyone who feels anger or holds harsh opinions about its policies, it stops being a place of open debate. Democracies often grow stronger when they listen to critics, both inside and outside their borders.
