'You miss a very important point.

There was never really a reason for the Nakba except for Arab leaders greed whilst the Palestinian Arabs were simply pawns.

Back in 1922 the British gave 77% of Palestinian mandate land to the Arabs only and called it Trans Jordan.

What was left was divided in the 1947 partition plan which would have allowed all to live together in peace.

So why did the Arabs who greatly outnumbered the Jews attack with a want to kill all the Jews and take all Jewish possessions.

Total greed.

So yes the Nakba occurred and if the Jews would have lost - all Jews would have been dead.

There are 2 million Arabs now living in Israel and enjoy the best lives any Arabs have compared to Arabs living in countries neighbouring Israel.

Although still not totally equal, all Arabs are a must for the Israeli economy growth and hold positions in all industries and services.

In a recent poll 24% stated Israel is a Jewish country with 30% neutral.

This number did not exist after the 1948 war and grows year by year.' Existential fears: Israeli Jews faced severe existential threats following the trauma of the Holocaust, but framing the entire Arab opposition as a unified desire to slaughter all Jews overlooks a chaotic mix of nationalist, political, and military objectives.

Arab Citizens in Israel Today

Demographics and integration: Roughly two million Arab citizens live inside Israel today, participating in elections, attending universities, and working in medical, legal, and commercial fields.

Systemic inequality: Calling their lives the "best" ignores well-documented institutional discrimination in housing, municipal funding, and land allocation.

Legal status: Laws like the 2018 Nation-State Law explicitly define Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people, legally positioning Arab citizens as a secondary national group.
