· Individual has libidinal investment in the linguistic tools that
he has access to bring himself to other people. Group identity is established
by the language that they have available for them to use. West has the monopoly
on the tools of media; therefore, it can establish any identity of any
individual and any group; therefore, we hear that Islamic parties speak only to
threaten the world; and jihadists’ vocabulary consists only of the words those
smack of extremism, chauvinism, jingoism, and racism.
