We are usually in

Media sell readers not news
·
Private media as
business sell readers and audiences not news as it is commonly believed to
advertisers and collects news by relying primarily on government and propaganda
not as commonly believed on reporters.

epistemic merit model in response to definitions of propaganda Ross found too
narrow. The broad definition of Ross: ‘‘Propaganda is an epistemic struggle to
challenge others’ thoughts’’, makes every persuasion propaganda. Challenging is
not but what is challenged is important. Coaxing people out of erroneous
beliefs makes persuasion a noble communication; and every act of persuasion is
propaganda if calculated to deceive receiver.

position reflects the common sense and its rejection means that one is devoid
of it.
