Funny things, Propaganda.. message, Points to ponder, Political
marketing through text.
By Dr. Sohail Ansari
Conceived and worded by DR Sohail
Ansari (originality of concepts and originality
of words).
He believes that there
can never be a zero scope for improvement and appreciates criticism if it is
not for the sake of criticism.
·
‘As long as the acquisition
of knowledge is rendered habitually repugnant, so long will there be a
prevailing tendency among young to discontinue it when free from the coercion
of parents and teachers.’
Funny things happen
·
Ignorance is really
blessing, since I heard that the logic of explanation contributes to the
critical component of writing funny things started to happen. I always in
explaining the relevance of evidence to my argument explain away its
irrelevancy.
Propaganda is message but no message is
propaganda
Subtle fallacy
·
‘Critical reasoning and
contextual comprehension are required to determine whether a message is propaganda
or not; if it is true, and it is, then critical reasoning and contextual
comprehension must not be required to determine whether a propaganda is message
or not.’
Every propaganda is message but no
message is propaganda as message by definition is to be impartial presentation
of all angles; but propaganda by definition is partial as it has imbalanced
presentation of aspects or it covers some aspects in part and some comprehensively
or only some aspects.
Points
to ponder
· It
is said and believed that people are susceptible to filmed representations of behavior.
There may not be a single individual becoming noble because of watching his
hero doing noble things; however almost everyone is highly imitative of much loathed
villain. The love of everyone to be the Prince
of darkness than to be the Prophet
of a day speaks of our vulnerability to evil not our susceptibility to
filmed representations. Perhaps we are susceptible to much easier things.
· It
is widely believed that students demonstrate their command of words by meeting
the sentence completion task in which they fill blank with appropriate words. Knowing
words is different from understanding word, students must be judged for
cultural and linguistic understanding that expresses itself in the application
of philosophical arguments in filling logical space on which arguments of
passage implicitly depend.
Political
marketing through text
· Political
marketing consultant explains the contribution of ‘So Obvious Evidences’ to his
main thesis that explanations feel like duplications and then place (sandwich) irrelevant
evidence with no explanation, encouraging readers to work out the relevance
themselves.
·
If political marketing consultant finds lines of argument
running through from the introduction to the conclusion too perfect, he having
done re-ordering of paragraphs within the overall structure reproduces them so
that he can mislead readers through the thread of argument to a conclusion that
consequently appears unsupported.
