Impress more but persuade less, Creating twist, Points to ponder, fallacies

Conceived and worded by DR Sohail Ansari (originality of concepts and originality of words).
He believes that there can never be a zero scope for improvement and appreciates criticism if it is not for the sake of criticism.
·      Only human can understand other human; my husband does not understand me; therefore, he is not a human.
Impress more but persuade less

Writing aims at self-projection establishes the intellectual cachet of a writer: it impresses more but persuades less; reader feels that through it comes the wisdom of the ages though much part of it is beyond his comprehension. Good writing moves reader many levels beyond his own thinking and opens him to the world in a different and better way.

Creating twist

The meaning of communication acts depends on what they are about; the use of one’s speech act for talking about thing it is not about creates the distortion of meaning.

Points to ponder

o   Coach needs not to play to guide how to play; writer needs not to demonstrate the character and competency he writes about.

o   People often object at the distinction between ‘what is important’ and ‘why it is important’ and say that without the reasons for importance one cannot establish the importance of anything. Well; children are told only the "don'ts" or "do's" because they are simply too small to grip big things. .

Complex fallacies

o   There are five bottles and every bottle contains more than one kind of powder; therefore no bottle contains more than one kind of powder.

o   There are five bottles and no bottle contains more than one kind of powder; therefore every bottle contains similar kind of powder.

o   There are five bottles and no bottle contains more than one kind of powder; if no bottle contains more than one kind of powder, then every bottle must contain less than one kind of powder.

o   There are five bottles and no bottle contains more than one kind of powder; but more than one bottle contains similar material; therefore, we can say that there are five bottles and every bottle contains more than one kind of powder and every bottle is different from other bottle in terms of content.

o   There are five bottles and more than one bottle contains more than one kind of powder; therefore not all bottles contain more than one kind of powder or all bottles contain no more than one kind of powder.
