Live for a life and life lives for you, Comical fallacy, no attic for the lasting peace, political marketing through ‘A lie’ against the truth, Quotes, Logical absurdity, points to ponder, fallacy of parallelism, Identity matrix. By Dr. Sohail Ansari

He believes that there can never be a zero scope for improvement and appreciates criticism if it is not for the sake of criticism

·       You can be lonely but not alone and alone but not lonely; but if alone you become lonely or if lonely you become alone; then you are happy if people are with you and people are with you if you are happy.
·        The excellence of answer is the excellence of question, and the impossibility of answer is the absurdity of question. ‘What will happen if man defeats God?’ answer is not possible as it is not possible.
·        Actor is not an actor if actor walks through a drama while character is left behind and an actor if character walks through a drama while actor is left behind.
Live for a life and life lives for you.
·       When you step into a garden to welcome spring; spring in return welcomes you. You find spring in and around you. You feast your eyes on a kaleidoscope of flowers, on the rich panorama of twirling rainbow; the sway of flowers brings you before long under its sway; helping you to exorcize all that has gone wrong; all that still rankles with you, helping you not to wallow anymore in self-pity; helping you not to think anymore about might-have-beens, helping you not to scowl the life any more. Air carrying the spring smells is your soul salve, it rejuvenates you; it is a balm to your spirit, it refreshes you with its warmness, wafts of aroma therapeutic to your olfactory nerves ginger you up, adding spice to the jaded appetite for life. Everything is still, yet full of movements; you hear silence speaking to your soul punctuated by the intermittent ethereal music of chirping; you are literally transported into the world of celestial beauty:  ‘This is living, the calm gathering and savoring of all the senses’. You feel life is growing, looking worth living once again. Sitting in the garden in the gathering dusk amid all these lovely things, you feel resuscitated, you feel reborn; you feel life is beckoning you to feel its throbbing pulse. Spending a day in a garden gives you the kiss of life, you learn that the best way to live a life is to live it; the best way to enjoy the life is to enjoy it, you learn that life is a ‘kind companion; it is a looking-glass, you smile it, and it in turn smiles and you frown it, and it in turn looks sourly upon you’. You learn that life lives for you if you live for a life
Comical Fallacy
·       ‘Cynics believe that people who shrug off compliments do so in order to be praised twice’. I am not a cynic and take sanguine view: people who shrug off criticism do so in order to be criticized twice.
No attic for lasting peace
·        Lasting peace is forth coming when nation war with itself concludes that it is time to bury hatchet. There is a brief interlude of peace when a nation decide to ‘ put the whole things up in the attic, to store it away up there where we have the stamp collection we started that year we had the mumps and could not leave the house. The attic is not for things we want to forget forever. Things get put up there because we do not know what else to do with them for the time being, or because they are in the way right now, or because we want to get them out of our lives for a while without throwing them away’.
Political marketing through ‘A Lie’ against ‘The Truth’
·       Every culture has realties, facts, and truth peculiar to it. Society as a whole cleaves to its core; to its immaterial culture that gives meaning to its practices. The cerebral part of the society is the custodian of its values: its intellectual shield. Grafting values viewed by society either too exotic or pernicious on society is possible only by breaking through this shield. The lie or the lies against ‘The Truth’ can generate societal qualms required to prepare people to think of shedding the ‘The Truth’. Spring however cannot be too far behind if winter comes so even Lie travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes, truth ultimately catches it up; political marketing consultant, therefore applies the juggernaut of state to scotch any plan for divulgence. He pulverizes truth bearer through harassment and thus muzzle them or silence them through gagging of the press.
In democratic country the violation of human rights or clamping censorship is out of question; it is also possible that the state itself is the custodian of values. In these situations, the successful launching of lies needs a hatchet job. Political marketing consultant pummels opponents extensively to engage them in generating an avalanche of articles in counter to a barrage of satirical biting lampoons reflecting badly on their intellectual sanity and making them appear the have-nots of cerebral world or in counter articles to scathing assaults serving as the damning indictment against their moral integrity. This strategy facilitates the marketing of lies against ‘The Truth’ as opponents are either too defensive or too distracted or too damaged.
Lies if ignite public wrath or prove to be too flagrant for the public taste, so political marketing consultant recast them to salve public opinion ‘dousing the flare-up’ or make them palatable ‘dulling the edges of them’  (by knitting certain threads of truth into them) to mute criticism.
Quotes
·       The seamy side of every holy person is veiled because of the simple reason: people are too immature to accept reality.
·       Amnesty granted does not always guarantee peace but amnesia always does.
Logical absurdity
·       Gathering dusk leads to night and gathering dawn leads to a day.
Points to ponder
·       Mistakes do not teach us only when they are our own. When we suffer because of some one’s else mistake we learn not to suffer again because of some one’s else mistake.
·       I often see judges; journalists adamant in their assertions that acquaintance does not imply partiality. They must tell then what else does then?
·        Every good subordinate is right to believe that he has no right to disbelieve the statement of a boss no matter how far it stretches credulity.
 Fallacy of Parallelism
·       Fatty foods are unsafe; therefore, eating bacon is harmful to health. Intelligent machines are dangerous because they contribute to unemployment. (Bacon can be harmful for various other reasons).
The process of societal judgment assumes an ‘identity matrix’
Every society has unique framework of interpretation; the way an individual or a culture identifies similarities and differences between persons in their milieu is the foundation on which the everyday social intercourse is based’

The process of societal judgment assumes an ‘identity matrix’__ a frame of reference for personality categories; though every society has its own identity matrix which is relative to its cultural setting, certain attributes_ like sagacity, perceptiveness, grit, enterprise, the integrity of character__ though it is interpreted in the light of that nation’s values__ enlightenment, unwavering loyalty to country, and initiative are universal features of leadership; but besides that there are certain attributes which are unique to every nation; every society has its own ‘Identity matrix of leader’ as Muslim cultural matrix identifies leader as the one who is compounded in equal parts of forbearance, altruism, sacrifice, broad-mindedness, magnanimity, graciousness and abstemiousness. People, in Pakistan take these personality traits in rulers for granted; and get dismayed if they do not find expression, and shocked if reverse happens. This identity matrix of leader is appropriated in ads.  Ads underscore the absence of (required) traits by highlighting the parochialism, authoritarian streak, self serving nature, and libertinism of leaders.

  3. This is nonsense, scattered with what Daniel Dennett would call 'deepities'.

    1. Dennet was the fool in his own right as he attacked the right of people to use metaphorical language. Universe and physics have deepities that do not bother atheists; however, they are always quick to complain about literature and religions using them. One thing does not bother but other thing does; makes no sense, and when thing makes no sense so it is nonsense. Dear anonymous, quoting foolish makes one appear more foolish.
