Values can be rational even untested
By Prof Dr.

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity;
and I'm not sure about the universe.” ― Albert
Einstein. Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear –
Surah Baqarah – V 286
· In
‘Transformative learning in practice’ Jack Mezirow says: ‘values and feelings
are irrational if cannot be tested through rational discourse’. If one cannot test justification of values
and feelings through rational discourse, it cannot make values necessarily
irrational as discourse can possible be irrational or not comprehensively
rational enough to critically assess underlying assumption.
Test of feasibility
· The
Feasibility of recommendation is judged by how much work one puts onto the case
from the recommendation.
