Question is further complicated when layered with the lens of positionality

By Prof Dr. Sohail Ansari
Engels is quoted as saying ‘no party can condemn me to silence if I have decided to speak’. Truly courageous words indeed; however sometimes it needs more courage to be silent when not offering eulogy is tantamount to offence. Of the believers are men who are true to the covenant which they made with Allah: so of them is he who accomplished his vow, and of them is he who yet waits, and they have not changed in the least. (Surah Ahzab 33:23)

Educational approach is not necessarily laced with contradiction

‘Educational approach is laced with contradictions. For example; how does an educator foster a change in perspective within a theoretical orientation that advocates a learner-centered approach? This question is further complicated when layered with the lens of positionality.’

If intended change is to make good better or better best, for example people rooted in practice are urged to spruce them up so there is no contradiction. Contradiction arises if recipients are urged to change the definition of good and bad.
Learning is to be conceptualized in purpose

Same act can have different meaning. Act to help destitute is an end in itself, if one does not see this act as the means to please God. Learning is to be conceptualized in purpose (why one should do a good thing) so that one learns the purpose of doing good things or in other words understands the different reasons for doing good things
