Failure is the success

By Prof Dr. Sohail Ansari
‘Silence is golden’ is the best refuge of timid when courageous words are needed to shame the silent. And he who brings the truth and (he who) accepts it as the truth… 39:33Who is then more unjust than he who utters a lie against Allah and (he who) gives the lie to the truth when it comes to him; is there not in hell an abode for the unbelievers? And he who brings the truth and (he who) accepts it as the truth… these are they that guard (against evil). (Surah Zumar 39: 32-33)
Love is to be blind to be called love

·       In ‘Transformative learning in practice’ Jack Mezirow says: ‘feelings are irrational if cannot be tested through rational discourse’.  Failure to test justification of feelings through rationl discourse is the success of feelings. Love derives its justification from being blind.

Realities make one illusive

·       ‘Every educational approach is rooted in ideals, but one becomes illusive, when the realities of practice are explored, and it becomes difficult to get a handle on how it plays out in the class room’.
