Now I was there not then I will be there Fallacy, Quotes, Points to ponder. By Dr. Sohail Ansari
Conceived and worded by DR Sohail Ansari (originality of concepts and originality of words).
He believes that there can never be a zero scope for improvement and appreciates criticism if it is not for the sake of criticism
·         Good lecture is not more informative than required.
·         Creativity in conveying the message (that is not yours) is the originality of form without damaging the originality of substance

Now I was there not then I will be there
o   There is no creative writing of history even history is always happening but creative non- fiction is not only about the past because history is always happening. Imagining one’s perspective on situation far distant in time is easier as one knows his fears and loves but he can only imagine the worries and aspirations of others; therefore, one can write about one’s own life in the year 2030 than imagine eleven years from now the world. Historian does not imagine the world ‘then I will be there’ he begins with ‘now I was there’.

Fallacy
o   ‘If we allow gay people to get married, what is next; allowing people to marry their dogs? Such fallacious arguments are offered to provoke people against gay marriages. People have been vegetarian for a long time; but no individual ever has eaten vegetable. Extreme and ludicrous outcomes are always possible such as sexual freedom leads to gay marriage and animal sex is as well the reality; impossible is not possible such as eating grass.
Quotes

o    People make extraordinary claims and then use ordinary evidence to support them.
o    Education is good only if it allows a high level of creative fulfillment.
o    If cure is assumed to be possible only through modern medicine then cure effected through traditional remedies is attributed to divine intervention.

Points to ponder
·       The belief that arguments can play to people’s emotions if they bypass critical thinking assumes that arguments need to be irrational to work on people.
·       Good believers never bothers to reassure skeptics as skeptics are always skeptical because their minds are not open to realities and good believer is good denier and quickly dismisses evidence that contradicts his realties.

Analysis:

The text duplicates the visual; it guides the interpretation of visual imagery, connecting it with the experience people had during Benazir’s Government; it tells the viewers that what they see in picture ‘miserable people in the grip of giant hand’ resulted from electing PPP.

This variant of service-information format uses illustration but relies heavily on text to emphasize at denotative level the features of the services while at connotative level subtly highlights the disservice done to people. At denotative level figures are given; and in order to lend credibility to them it is stated that these figures are issued by PPP government. Illustration conveys the idea (at connotative level) that the grip of hand means dearness which is the gift of PPP’s government and the rise in price is so exorbitant and oppressive that people are crying and Islamic Democratic alliance which is the believer of economic stability can give people relief.

Service-information format has many variants and combinations, and they differ primarily in the way they manifest the idea of power of service; but the central idea in this format remains the evaluation of a utilitarian matrix in which the service, and its utility is considered. As we see that this ad establishes a frame work for understanding the service that stresses its singularity and its casual connection to a thoroughly pragmatic universe.
