film turns war zone into a film. It turn soldiers’ eyes into cameras so that
audience cannot know that things are chosen to be shown nor feel perceptions
become accelerated, discontinuous, and mechanized or that war’s losers has come
out far ahead of the winners.
Face to face with reality despite

never having come near to it if he finds his life turns upside down, just as
surely as if he had been in it.
