Non-native
speakers apply word on the basis of its meaning in dictionary; or do literal
translation from their own language. Words sound incongruous if one does
literal translation or has no intimacy with language.
Applying

‘Acquiring skills in these areas
is becoming inevitable’
Inevitable means: unavoidable and unpreventable
Below is application
of inevitable from dictionary
1. Death is inevitable, but
that is all the more reason to live life to the fullest.
2. The heart attack was almost inevitable because of his horrendous lifestyle.
2. The heart attack was almost inevitable because of his horrendous lifestyle.
Sentence should be: Acquiring
skills in these areas is becoming important. Inevitable means: Things one cannot avoid as one cannot avoid death
or heart attack (even one wants). Acquiring skills one cannot avoid is wrong; inevitable
is not used in this way.
