It is much easier to accept the request for forgiveness than to
request for forgiveness because in latter case pride is casualty.
Scapegoating
through stereotypes
·
Every individual has his flaws; flaws, however, differ in kind and
intensity because of the set of circumstances. Individuals sharing racial and
cultural identity may not share same flaws because of the contextual difference
or difference in upbringing. Black American living in penury constitutes the
majority of black American and may exhibit the fundamentally different attitude
to capitalism from that of black American living in opulence and penury, constituting
the minority of black American. Poor black American most possibly is the American
hostile to capitalism; however, it is still possible that he may not be so because
of the difference in a way he is raised. Rich black American most possibly is
the American who is not hostile to capitalism; however, it is still possible that
he may not be so because of the difference in a way he is raised. Stereotypes
such as ‘enemy of west’ and ‘fundamentalist’ focus on the stereotypical traits
target audience loathe or fear, but these stereotypes are far from being
representative of the entire group and are created for scapegoating Muslims of
the entire world and distracting attention from the need to fix the problems
for which blame is being assigned.
