·        ‘A wise man once sat in the audience and cracked a joke; all of them laughed like crazy. After a moment he cracked the same joke again a little less people laughed this time. He cracked the same once again no one laughed; then he smiled and said, when you cannot laugh on the same joke again then why you do keep crying over the same thing over again and again’

Logical analysis by one acquaintance

‘But a wise man ought to realize that laughter is a different function from sorrow although both are emotions. The same joy over and over loses its charm but the same sorrow over and over only deepens the pain.’

Joke reminds one of same funny thing and he laughs; soon that thing ceases to be funny but cry is because of the loss, when a person does not see the thing or when he is forced to feel the absence of something so he cries; for example, a son is not with me to take him to doctor; joke does not make him feel absence, person cries as long as he does not get used to the absence. If ‘same sorrow over and over only deepens the pain’, so grieving mother at the loss of a son would continue to grieve; but time dulls the edges of grief; one another reason that man is by nature ungrateful; he undervalues blessings and exaggerates loss; therefore he keeps crying over the same thing again and again.
