Points of a little
boy, Media prove dictum wrong Points
to ponder
By Dr. Sohail Ansari
Conceived and worded by DR Sohail Ansari (originality of
concepts and originality of words).
He believes that there can never be a zero scope for
improvement and appreciates criticism if it is not for the sake of criticism.
·
No word in a sense has any meaning minus contextual
constraints.
·
Appearance of a thing does the trick for passing a
judgment on it. It is a trick because the all-round perception of that thing is
essential.
·
Not for nothing does every politician once out of
power becomes a man in a hurry, for the simple reason that the longer he stays
an outsider, the more he is condemned to remain one.
Subconscious version
of the circular reasoning
·
Fallacies of intended
arguments repeating themselves disguised as the logical statements are the subconscious
version of the circular reasoning. For example; ‘can a person learn?’ Yes if he
wants. ‘Can a person stop telling lies?’ Yes, if he wants to quit this habit.
Points by a boy
named Irtiza, student of grade 8
·
I wanted my
father to write an answer for me that sounded like me. He did wonderfully well;
and I was then punished for the unclearly written, thoughtless essay that
failed to reflect accurately my beliefs and feelings.
·
I wanted my
father to write an answer for me that sounded like me. He did not do wonderfully
well; and I was then not punished.
Media prove dictum wrong
·
Every age has its own peculiarities,
and that demand the redefining of the role of human in relation to his context.
People those rise to meet these cerebral challenges are called the sages of that
age. Philosophers are as it is said and believed so far like fruit_ born not
created; however Media are reported to have done miracle by creating philosophers.
People appear in interviews and talk-shows and speak ‘impromptu’ that is no
more than vomiting out ready-made answers to questions they knew they would be
asked.
Points to ponder
·
For branding a reformer as heretic,
the contribution of his to the revision of philosophy must be abused than
acknowledged.
·
Home spun wisdom is easier to apply
than to state. Home spun solution comes as naturally as the language to a
native speaker; it is the result of the individual resourcefulness and intuitive
dealing; it is the idea obtained in a flash. Non-native speaker enters into a
language through the door of grammar; this systematic learning is instructive
to all like him; however for the native speaker language is the natural experience:
easier to apply than to teach; just like home spun solution easier to apply
than to explain to outsider.
·
Scholars have conflicting endeavors:
some scholars attempt to subordinate science to religion and some religion to
science. These endeavors clash with the purpose of politicians as they aim at subordinating
both (science and philosophy) to their control rather than giving them an
independent position.
