·          ‘Toxic leader is a person who has responsibility over a group of people or an organization, and who abuses the leader–follower relationship by leaving the group or organization in a worse-off condition than when he first found them. The basic traits of a toxic leader are generally considered to be either/or insular, intemperate, glib, operationally rigid,  callous,  inept,  discriminatory,  corrupt  or aggressive’

Fascination with celebrity may not be wrong in itself but the problem is that a person chosen to be hero-worshipped does not qualify to be hero-worshipped.  A leader of Karachi and Hyderabad has been abusing the leader-follower relationship for decades and his people are in a worse-off condition than when he first found them. He has all basic traits of a toxic leader but continues to be hero-worshipped because other ethnic groups continue to feed hatred through discriminatory polices so that he continues to exploit it.
