Journalism can be literature

·        ‘Journalism is the Literature in hurry’ as saying goes. Literature is the beautiful ideas in beautiful words; however ideas deal with permanent realities. Contents of journalism are different as they are of non-permanent realities. News captures the departure from normal but as it does through captivating words it becomes literature in hurry. Literature cannot be journalism because, as it is believed, it deals with permanent realities. Every departure from normal can be news: significant and trivial. Man bites dog makes up good news; but it has no impact on the lives of people. Literature does deal with departure from normal; but remains relatively alive only if it deals with departures those bring about the permanent changes in life.
