#6th September should not be celebrated.

Conceived and worded by DR Sohail Ansari (originality of concepts and originality of words).
He believes that there can never be a zero scope for improvement and appreciates criticism if it is not for the sake of criticism.

·       I am against any form of violence and war. I cannot celebrate killings of any human being or any people. Before we are of different nations we are of one species that is human. I honor the sacrifice and the resolve of our forces. I respect it. I love them for putting their life on the line… But wars, no matter who wins or loses should be mourned not celebrated… Any loss of human life should be mourned not celebrated’.
Above are the views of one media-born intellectual. People good at certain things feel fit to pontificate about everything under the sun.

Should we celebrate 6th September?
·        Punishment according to crime obliterates the difference between intentional and unintentional; punishment, therefore, should be according to intentions not a crime. Action is defined by intention; killing can be in self-defense and can be pre-mediated murder; action is same (killing) but killing with intention entails capital punishment and killing to protect oneself is well-justified. Should we mourn the death of a robber killed during robbery? Definitely not; but we may feel sad for his choice of a wrong path that led to its logical consequences. We should celebrate the courage of a judge to sentence the drug lord to death; we should celebrate the success of police to kill serial killer. We should in the same way celebrate the success of our army to defend a country against unjustly imposed war.

War, in Islam, is justified if it is unleashed for librating people from the tyranny of cruel people; war is not the instrument of territorial expansion; not it can be waged for the blatant self-aggrandizement. People crusading against injustice do loss lives; and this loss of life should be celebrated; and people fighting for the perpetuation of their unjust rule do loss lives; and this loss of lives should not be mourned but celebrated.
