Fallacy of equating two different levels of possibilities

(1) People must be feeling hungry as they have not taken food for more than 12 hours is same as people must have good understanding of this problem as they have read this book.  

Exercise: students must explain the meanings of difficult words in context or the meaning of a whole sentence.

(1) ‘Do not judge a book by its cover’. This metaphor can be extended to many situations in life.

(2)  The prejudice of deciding what to do based solely on outward appearance could cost the pursuer the chance of a meaningful relationship.

(3) It is difficult to change being so superficial.

(4)  Having a question creates an internal state of ‘I need to know something’.

(5) A clear picture emerges of where a student is relative to learning targets and standards.

(6) Whilst no scientific proof can be accepted as ultimate fact, rigorous testing ensures that proofs can become presumptions.

(7) Remember, not rejecting the null hypothesis is not the same as accepting it.
