Logical Dissection
By Dr. Sohail Ansari
Conceived and worded by DR Sohail Ansari (originality of concepts and originality of words).
He believes that there can never be a zero scope for improvement and appreciates criticism if it is not for the sake of criticism"Who deserves to go to heaven more?
- A person who doesn't believe in any religion, but throughout all his life served humanity. He never lied, never stole, never did anything morally wrong. That person spent his entire life working for people. He went into burning buildings to save people, nursed the sick back to health. He devoted his life to helping others.
- A person who believes in religion (you can assume whichever), but that person lied, but said all his prayers. That person never really helped other people, but he did go for pilgrimage. He never went out of his way to help anyone".Posted By Ali Moeen Nawazish on Facebook at Tuesday 21,July.
* ‘Who deserves to go to heaven more’?
The
question is not for an answer as readers have already an answer through
calculated use of words in lines following it. The question is calculated to
make a subtle assault against what the Quran and Hadith teaches: faith not
deeds entitles man to enter into paradise; however the reader of a passage
feels inclined toward attaching more importance to deeds.
* ‘A person who believes in religion (you can assume whichever), but
that person lied, but said all his prayers. That person never really helped
other people, but he did go for pilgrimage. He never went out of his way to
help anyone.’
Religious man means what?
Christianity defines man religious if a man visits church on every Sunday; Jews
and Hindus are religious if they visit regularly synagogues and temples. Religion of theirs do not abhor
Usury or their leading of life in accordance to dictates of Capitalism_ a
system that exploits people and creates haves and have- nots.
In Islam man cannot be
religious even if he goes to mosque and says all his prayers; he has to fulfill
other obligations. One ceases to be Muslim if he does not share his wealth
(through Zakat) to less fortunate people. Interest is strictly forbidden in
Islam; therefore, there is zero-scope for exploitation. Person cannot be religious
in Islam because of going to pilgrimage; person has to care whole society as
Islam forbids him to damage the reputation of people through lies or slanders;
and forbids him to damage the business interests of others through hoarding. In
Islam, helping others is compulsion, not a choice one can make if he wishes as
Zakat is one of the basic tenets of a religion.
Islam is a complete code of life not limited to certain rituals as all
religions are.
There are indeed certain
absolutes: ministering to the needs of ills; serving destitute, distributing
charities. These absolutes are called universal values; however, Islam
underscores essence not form. Owner of a bank exploits millions to earn billion
through interest and then spends hardly1% of his wealth to help poor who
perhaps would not be poor if were not exploited by the monetary policies of
banking system. The great act of charity by a banker is charity in form but in
essence it is not; this is just a show for the consumption of media. The act of
charity in Islam should be motivated by the love of God; therefore wealth
should not be defiled by ill-practices nor should be spent for eliciting praise
of people.
Faith is more important
than deeds because deeds can be deeds in form not in essence, if acts are not
performed in the light of divine commands.
There can be three
categories: person who worships God but his religious obligations are
incomplete without serving humanity; person who believes in religion but his
religion is limited to visiting Holy places and has nothing to do with his
worldly practices; a person who does not believe in God, but does good work.
(Good work of his is either motivated by the love for self-projection or
because of the pricks of guilty conscience).
‘Who deserves
to go to heaven more’?
The word
more is wrong as it indicates that one has got more chance than other; only the
people of first category can go to heaven.
